Everywhere a Sign: How to Avoid a Trip to Your Friendly Local Body Shop

Road signs

People past a certain age and given to nostalgic rumination will likely remember “Signs,” a popular song from the early 1970s by the Canadian rock group Five Man Electrical Band:

The message of the song is clear: nobody likes to be ordered what to do against their will, least of all by impersonal signage. (And—let’s face it—big highway billboards really do clutter up the scenery!) But there is one kind of sign that car drivers had best obey: namely, road signs. Not only can they save you an unnecessary trip to an auto collision repair center…they can save your life! For that reason, drivers ignore them at their peril.

Springtime Is Tire Time—for Driver Safety! [Infographic]

Spring has sprung at last. Snow is melting, sap is running, birds are singing—and beautiful potholes are blooming in our roads all across the land.

Winter is rough not just on roads but on tires as well. What with sand, salt, brutal temperature swings, bouts of liquid and frozen precipitation, and the resulting unexpected divots dotting public thoroughfares, tires can get worn down, damaged, deteriorated, and badly deflated. Thankfully, summer is just around the corner.

We at Keri Coach Works are always ready to repair any dents or dings your vehicle may sustain from auto collisions. But we would much rather that it wasn’t involved in an accident in the first place. Regular maintenance is the #1 step all vehicle owners should take for safe, incident-free driving. And when the vernal equinox rolls around, the most important preventative care you can do involves your tires. To that end, we offer this handy springtime guide to seasonal tire maintenance.

As mentioned in our previous blog article, if there is anything better than getting your car repaired at Keri Coach Works when it is involved in a collision, it is not needing to get it repaired at all!

You may have noticed that much of the country is buried in snow, and our collective teeth are now audibly chattering, thanks to the Polar Vortex and the most recent Arctic blast it has sent our way. The resulting combination of cold, ice, sleet, snow, and careless drivers has created winter road conditions that make driving not just difficult but downright dangerous. For that reason, we have prepared this infographic to remind even the most seasoned drivers how to stay safe when inclement weather throws us a fast ball.
