While on the road, everyone hopes and expects that the journey will be uneventful. And most of the time, it is. But every now and then, no matter how careful the driver, they may find themselves involved in a fender-bender, collision, or other highway mishap. In that case, if the damaged vehicle is at all still drivable, try to maneuver it as far as possible off to the side of the road, away from any passing traffic. Safety first!
Then call for help (almost everybody nowadays owns a cell phone, so that should be the easy part). If the incident occurs in a populated area, you should have no trouble summoning whatever emergency assistance is needed, along with a tow (if necessary) to a nearby service station or certified auto body repair shop (like Keri Coach Works). In more remote areas, however, you may end up having to wait a while for help to arrive.
In either case, it is a good driver safety practice to always be prepared for any eventuality. That means making sure your vehicle is stocked with certain useful things that you may need in an emergency situation. The infographic below will serve as a checklist of the most essential items all drivers should keep in their car at all times in the event of an accident.
